Write an email to your staff announcing a change in policy or procedure.

Choose one of the following ideas: changes to the security procedures in the building? changes to Health and Safety procedures? changes to some aspect of working conditions like office hours or lunch breaks? changes to company policy about personal use of the Internet during working hours? changes to some aspect of company ‘perks’ like a mobile phone, laptop or health club membership supplied by the company?

In the email you should include the following information:

  • What the change is and how it will impact employees’ work
  • What workers should do to comply with the new policy/procedure.
  • Provide details (e.g. dates, places) regarding the implementation of new policy/procedures
  • Ask for a confirmation of receiving the email and understanding of the discussed matter
